Children's Activities at RHS Badminton Flower Show 2026

RHS Badminton Flower Show things to do

Families heading to RHS Badminton Flower Show this July can enjoy a brilliant day out in the open air, with free entry for under 16s and plenty of nature-inspired fun for younger visitors.

Taking place from Wednesday 8 to Sunday 12 July 2026, RHS Badminton Flower Show will bring gardens, growers, flowers, shopping and family activities to the beautiful Badminton Estate, with hands-on crafts, storytelling, outdoor games, face painting and creative play all adding to the show's family-friendly appeal.

Step into the World of Brambly Hedge

The much-loved world of Brambly Hedge will come to life in the Family Area, where children can enjoy a variety of activities inspired by the famous mice. Young visitors can decorate a leaf to add to the Brambly Hedge tree, dress up as their favourite character, enjoy face painting and pose for photos with the charming mouse models.

Families can also relax in the dedicated reading area, with live Brambly Hedge storytelling sessions taking place on Saturday and Sunday.

Get Creative with Forest School

Westonbirt, The National Arboretum, will be running Forest School sessions where children of all ages can get hands-on with nature. Using natural materials collected around the showground, youngsters can create nature-inspired artwork, build mini sculptures and explore different textures while learning more about the natural environment.

These engaging sessions provide a wonderful opportunity for children to discover the outdoors through creativity and play.

Outdoor Games and Creative Displays

Families can challenge each other with traditional lawn games from Jaques of London, including XL Tumble Tower, Quoits and Wooden Number Skittles. It's a perfect opportunity to enjoy some classic screen-free entertainment together.

Don't miss the colourful Live Love Local Wheelbarrows, created by local schools and community groups. Each imaginative display celebrates the places they love through creative planting and floral design.

Activities Throughout the Show

Brambly Hedge crafts, dress-up activities and Jaques of London games will be available every day throughout the show. Forest School sessions with Westonbirt Arboretum will run daily from 10am to 12pm and 1pm to 3pm, while Saturday and Sunday will also feature live Brambly Hedge storytelling sessions and all-day face painting.
