Brand new History Weekend launches at Sudeley Castle
A spectacular new history event is launching in the Cotswolds this summer at the iconic Sudeley Castle & Gardens
Sudeley Castle & Gardens in Winchcombe has announced the launch of its brand new History Weekend taking place from 26 to 28 June 2026.
The three-day celebration of heritage, storytelling and exploration will bring together renowned historians, expert guides, living history performers and conservation specialists for a fascinating journey through more than 1,000 years of history in the heart of the Cotswolds.
Visitors can enjoy a packed programme of talks, tours and interactive sessions exploring Sudeley Castle’s extraordinary past, from Tudor intrigue and royal connections to the English Civil War and Victorian restoration.
Special guests appearing during the weekend include celebrated historian David Starkey and bestselling author Alison Weir, alongside storytellers, musicians, archivists and heritage experts helping to bring the castle’s remarkable history to life.
