Batsford Arboretum’s much-loved snowdrop season is back for 2026, bringing a welcome burst of brightness to the Cotswolds at the heart of winter. From the end of January through to early March, visitors can wander through 60 acres of trees, trails and seasonal colour, with carpets of snowdrops appearing across woodland edges and along gentle routes.
More than a simple stroll, this is a chance to slow down, breathe in crisp countryside air, and enjoy one of the most picture-perfect moments in the arboretum’s winter calendar. Whether it is a peaceful solo walk, a family day out, or a treat for keen gardeners, the display offers plenty of scenic spots for photographs and quiet seasonal escapism.
Batsford Arboretum is home to amazing snowdrop displays in the CotswoldsThis year, visitors can also look out for refreshed walking routes designed to guide guests towards some of the arboretum’s most photogenic viewpoints and winter highlights. With different areas coming into bloom at different times, many visitors enjoy returning across the season to see how the display develops.

We recommend visiting from late January onwards to see the display at its best.
