The Marriage of Figaro at the Everyman Theatre

Sunday 9 August 2026

Opera in Cheltenham

Wild Arts presents Mozart’s much-loved comic opera The Marriage of Figaro in a sparkling new production directed by Olivier Award-winning international opera star Danielle de Niese.

On the morning of their wedding, Figaro and Susanna discover that their employer, the amorous Count Almaviva, has his sights set on the bride-to-be. What follows is a whirlwind day of disguises, misunderstandings and clever plotting as servants outwit masters and love triumphs against the odds.

Bursting with glorious melodies, from the fizzing overture to the beauty of ‘Dove sono’ and the jubilant finale, The Marriage of Figaro showcases Mozart at his brilliant best.

Fast, funny and full of heart, this acclaimed production combines romance, wit and unforgettable music for a joyful afternoon of opera at Everyman Theatre Cheltenham.
