Tower Tour at Gloucester Cathedral

Climb 269 steps to the top of Gloucester Cathedral and enjoy breathtaking views up to 40 miles across the countryside.

Go behind the scenes into ancient roof spaces and see Great Peter, the largest medieval bell in Britain still in use.

Please note:

  • Tower Tours last around 60 minutes. The tour involves climbing 269 spiral steps and is not suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
  • There is no facility to leave bags, so visitors must keep belongings to a minimum and carry them at all times.
  • Sensible footwear is highly recommended.
  • Children must be aged 6 and over to climb the tower (no babes in arms).
  • Any child aged 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.
  • Booking is essential.
