History Weekend at Sudeley Castle

Friday 26 - Sunday 28 June 2026

History Weekend comes to Sudeley Castle from 26 June to 28 June 2026, offering three fascinating days of talks, tours, interactive sessions and special events exploring more than 1,000 years of history.

Visitors can discover stories from the Tudor period, the English Civil War, Georgian society and Victorian life, with expert historians, guides, archivists and heritage specialists bringing the remarkable past of Sudeley Castle to life.

Highlights include special ticketed evening talks from Alison Weir on The Boleyn Secret and David Starkey on Katherine Parr, alongside historic garden tours, behind-the-scenes guided tours, archive displays, storytelling, period music and conservation in action.

Families and history lovers can enjoy Tudor tales with Dave Tonge, period music from Waytes and Measures, talks on Lady Jane Grey, Katherine Parr, the English Civil War in Gloucestershire, Victorian fashion and the history of Sudeley Castle and Winchcombe.

With a mixture of general admission activities and selected pre-bookable events, History Weekend is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy one of the most interesting heritage events in Gloucestershire and a memorable day out in the Cotswolds.
